How to repurpose one idea into ten pieces of content with AI

A repeatable workflow for turning a single source asset into a week of multi-channel content without losing your voice.

Repurposing is the highest-leverage content activity there is: the thinking is already done, so you are only paying for reformatting. Automation makes that reformatting close to free.

Step 1 — Choose a strong source

The best sources are dense with original opinion: a recorded client Q&A, a conference talk, a detailed how-to, or a strong internal memo. Thin sources produce thin derivatives.

Step 2 — Extract the atomic points

Have AI pull out every distinct claim, example and number as a bulleted list. This becomes your raw material. Review it once to remove anything inaccurate or off-brand.

Step 3 — Map points to formats

  • One contrarian claim → a LinkedIn text post.
  • A three-step process → a carousel or Instagram post.
  • A customer example → a short case-study snippet.
  • A definition or myth → a FAQ entry that also helps SEO.
  • The whole thing → a newsletter section with a link.

Step 4 — Draft, review, schedule

AI drafts each format from the mapped point plus a short style guide. A person spends ten minutes editing for voice. A scheduling tool then drip-feeds the pieces over one to two weeks.

Step 5 — Recycle the winners

Whatever performs well goes back into the queue 90 days later with a fresh hook. Over a year this compounds into a large library from very little new input.
